Vivitar-Zoom 3.8/85-205 on nikon d60?
I bought this lens at a pawn shop today, and i was wondering if it would work on a nikon d60.
So is that a no? haha im 16 and new to photography , I love the nikon D60 , it takes great pictures ( you can see my photography here http://www.flickr.com/photos/41380560@N06/ ) I dont know much about lenses , and the lady at the pawn shop didnt know much about the lens, so i bought it to see if it would work. But i dont want to put it on my camera and have something go wrong. Do you have any suggestions, on lenses i can use for this camera? at a reasonable price
Vivitar branded lenses have been around for a long time and there are variations in quality between models.
Some of the older Series 1 were fabulous lenses in their day and still perform admirably on DSLRs

Assuming it is as Nikon mount it will work on your D60. You may have to manually focus and manually set the exposure settings.
If the light meter in the D60 does not work with the lens take test shot, look at the histogram on the camera's LCD and adjust until it is right.
