Canon EOS Rebel T1i 15.1 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera Overview

Cheap alternative Canon battery pack?
For 7D. Original these puppies cost £150 but copies go on ebay for around £30.
Even for chinese copies, that is still disconcertingly cheap.
Has anyone used a cheap pack?

The Ebay one actually looks better then the Canon, with menu control as a bonus,
Obviously I will only use original batteries in the Canon (cheap batteries have half life)
This thing won't damage my camera in any way will it?
Plus, do they all have the standard screw mount on the underneath for tripod mounting??
The immense expense of an OEM part is because the 7D is a weatherproofed camera, this includes the grip. A Canon grip is made of magnesium with rubber gaskets for sealing. A chinese copy has none of these features and will totally fail even from simple condensation.
Further complicating things is Canon's LP-E6 is a chipped battery, which communicates with the camera, in the case of the BG-E7 this communication is made through the battery grip, to have this function increase the price even more.
